TORONTO, Ont.–In a CIFFA bulletin issued September 16, the association provided an update on strike action by the Container Truckers Association of Ontario.
“Negotiations resumed Tuesday Sept. 15 with members of the CTAO. We have reports that a resolution was reached in principal between the parties and that a binding agreement is being drawn and will be presented later today Wednesday Sept. 16. Once the binding agreement is accepted, it is our understanding that drivers are then invited to sign the agreement. It is uncertain if the movements of goods will resume later today or tomorrow,” the association said.
