Transport Security Administration rescinds US-bound freight requirement

MONTREAL, Que.–According to an Air Canada Cargo release today, the United States Transport Security Administration has rescinded the requirement for US-bound freight, stating that the cargo has not originated in, been transferred from, or transited through Somalia, Syria, Yemen, or Egypt.

This statement is no longer required.

Air Canada Cargo advised customers of the requirement in an email message on December 24, 2015. All current embargoes for these countries remain in effect, the airline said.
