TransCore launches new freight services Web site

PORTLAND, Ore. — TransCore’s commercial technology group has launched a new product and industry information Web site.

The site, found at, merges TransCore’s many freight services transportation solutions into one location, and also provides logistics industry professionals insight into the trends affecting their businesses.

“Besides providing expansive product information and resources for freight brokers, carriers, and shippers, TransCore also provides valuable information resources with our North American Freight Index and a related Web publication, TransCore Trendlines, containing weekly updates on national spot market freight movements by equipment type as well as spot market rate trends,” said David Schrader, senior vice-president of operations for TransCore Freight Services. “ enables us to publish key industry information that can help our customers make better business decisions.”

The Web site combines information on all of the company’s freight services products and services, including load boards, tracking and communication, transportation management software, distribution services and fleet compliance services. Officials say the site’s design is tailored to the needs of specific customer segments, such as brokers, carriers, owner/operators and shippers, offered detailed product information geared towards their unique business models.

Additional informational resources found on site includes case studies and industry analyses, including the company’s recent broker benchmark survey and a guide to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) program called CSA 2010, as well as industry events and a selection of news items.

The launch of the new site is part of TransCore’s attempt to expand its Web presence, including the recent implementation of its Twitter feed (@TransCoreFS) and Facebook profile.
