Shoptiques.com launches boutique retail platform in Canada

NEW YORK, N.Y.– Shoptiques.com has launched in Canada. With more than 2,000 boutiques currently on the site, Canada represents the fourth country in which Shoptiques.com has store partners, including the U.S., U.K., and France, the company announced.

The expansion will allow Shoptiques.com customers from around the globe to shop directly from boutiques throughout Canada and discover unique pieces spanning clothing, accessories, and home decor. Local consumers can make purchases online and have items shipped or opt to conveniently pick up their items in-store, the company said. Shoptiques.com will provide Canadian boutique partners with its back-end e-commerce capabilities, including inventory management, web hosting, and email marketing. All orders over C$125 will ship for free and all returns are free.

“We have been shipping to Canadian customers from our boutiques since the beginning, so launching in Canada was a natural next step for us,” said Olga Vidisheva, Founder and CEO.

“We’re also very excited about the potential: Canadian online retail sales grew from C$15.3 billion to C$22.3 billion between 2010 and 2014 and are expected to reach C$39.9 billion by 2019. The market is growing very quickly and we’re thrilled to now be a part of it.”

One of the first Canadian boutiques on the platform is Toronto-based Grafic. Store owner Doriano Carlo said, “We’re excited to be working with Shoptiques.com because it will allow us to reach a fast-growing market of boutique shoppers online. The platform gets us in front of new customers—and we can’t wait to utilize the Shoptiques.com team’s expertise to expand our digital marketing strategy.”

Shoptiques.com will launch with more than 30 Canadian boutiques on the platform in Toronto, Vancouver, and Montreal. The company will focus on continuing to grow that number.
