Senator Lines will participate in the CKYHS-alliance-driven CNE-container-service between China and Northern Europe from April, 15th,2004.
The ‘China-Europe-Express’ (CNE) port rotation covers Rotterdam Felixstowe- Hamburg – Antwerp – Singapore – Hong Kong – Shanghai – Dalian – Quindao -Yantian – Hong Kong – Singapore – Rotterdam; the respective ports are served on a fixed weekly pattern.
“Our participation in the CNE corresponds to our customers’ desires to further call the Port of Quindao directly”, said Director of Marketing Wilfried Seifert. Only recently the port of Quindao had been omitted from Senator Lines’ schedules as a result of the restructuring of the CEX -service (China – Europe – Express).
“Additionally we gain more ports of direct calls.”
With the participation in the CNE Senator Lines now provides seven container-services between Northern Europe and Asia (PDS, NEX, CEX, JES, SCP, CNE, AEC). This network, which forms the shipping company’s core-business is complemented by four services between the Mediterranean and Asia (EMA, MIX, MAX ADX). Since 2003 Senator Lines especially concentrates on services between Asia and Northern Europe and aims to strengthen its service-network in this respect.
