Logistics Software Corp. and Global Trade Resources Inc.(GTRI) have completed their merger, commencing combined business operations as of April 19, 2004. Logistics Software Corp. and GTRI are now unifying the organizations to provide, together, software and data transmission solutions for the international trade needs of customs brokers, carriers, freight forwarders, importers, exporters and warehouse/distribution operations.
Thomas Lauriault, President & CEO and former Executive Vice President of Russell A. Farrow Ltd. will be President & Secretary of the new Logistics Software Corp.
“The newly formed management and development team will be offering a combination of robust and technologically advanced software solutions to a market place that has been relying on outdated technology for far too long,” said Lauriault.
Michael Muir, who retains the role of CEO & Treasurer, adds “there has been limited availability of higher-end solutions that are able to take advantage of today’s technological trends and respond to the constant changes in Customs systems, processes and regulations. The new Logistics Software Corp. will move rapidly to fill this void.”
The business operations of the new “Logistics Software Corp.” will continue from their centrally located head office in Toronto, Ontario. The new branch office in Windsor, Ontario immediately expands services to the busiest commercial international border crossing between Canada and the United States.
Logistics Software Corp’s immediate initiative is to provide their software, which includes a diverse range of client and compliance capabilities for new and upcoming CBSA customs requirements, to the Customs Brokerage industry.
