TORONTO, Ont.–Air Canada Cargo is advising its Toronto-area customers of two upcoming events at the Cargo Terminal at Toronto Pearson International Airport that will affect drop off and retrieval of freight between Monday, June 8 and Wednesday, June 10.
Monday June 8, controlled access to Air Canada Cargo:
Due to a special project at the airport that day, all customers coming to the Air Canada Cargo building between 13:00 and 23:00 will be required to pass through a security checkpoint and asked to present valid Government ID (such as a driver’s license), Company ID, and the Air Waybill numbers that they are picking up or dropping off. The physical Air Waybill is not needed, only the number.
Tuesday, June 9, scheduled power outage overnight:
The Air Canada Cargo facility will be closed and without power for 3 hours between 23:00 on Tueday, June 9, and 02:00 on Wednesday, June 10. Regular operations will resume after the power has been restored. Air Canada Cargo expects to have returned to normal operations by morning, although there may be a delay for some customers picking up shipments early in the morning on Wednesday, June 10.
