Harry Kim to Leave NYK Line (Canada)

NYK Line (Canada) Inc. recently announced the departure of Senior Executive Vice-President, Harry Kim, who will retire on April 30, 2004.

Kim has had a long career in the Canadian Maritime Industry. He joined March Shipping, who were agents for NYK Line, in 1975 and was soon promoted to Vice-President. NYK Line opened their own subsidiary office in Toronto in 1987 where Kim directed the operation and was later promoted to Senior Executive Vice President, supervising the day-to-day operations and development of the company throughout Eastern Canada.

For the Canadian transportation industry, Kim was known as “Mr. NYK”.

“The company owes much of its fine reputation to the respect and affection in which Harry is held by his customers and colleagues”, remarked Munehiko Hino, President of NYK Line (Canada) Inc.
