Saskatoon, SK — A CN freight train carrying grain has derailed at a rail crossing just north of Saskatoon.
The Saskatoon Fire Department says the derailment happened at about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday when 30 out of the 52 rail cars left the tracks near Warman.
The fire department says one locomotive was on fire and leaking fuel when firefighters arrived on scene.
CN says there are no dangerous goods on the train and no one was hurt.
The company says there is no danger to the public.
Fire department officials say the blaze was fully extinguished by 1:00 p.m.
Saskatoon police say a single southbound lane is open for traffic on Highway 11.
All northbound access was blocked Tuesday night.
