Emergency Response Assistance Canada, CN conduct rail emergency exercise

BRAMPTON, Ont.– Emergency Response Assistance Canada (ERAC), in conjunction with CN, conducted a rail emergency training exercise on Sept 15, 2016 at CN’s Malport Yard in Brampton. ERAC Response Teams, Technical Advisors and Remedial Measures Advisors from across Ontario, were to take part in the full-scale hands-on exercise involving three simultaneous live-transfers of flammable product (LPG and light synthetic crude) from rail cars.

Spencer Buckland, ERAC President, along with representatives from CN including Danny Simpson, AVP of Safety and Emergency Response, and David Slauson, CN Sr. Dangerous Goods Officer, were available on site for the event.
