Nica-Aid, a registered Canadian charity with a fleet of mobile medical clinics ready to go serve the poor in Nicaragua, is looking for someone to donate a reefer trailer that works on electricity (and diesel in emergencies).
This trailer will be used to transport and store (to prevent spoilage) pharmaceuticals and medical supplies to small hospitals in Nicaragua serving the poor. A charitable tax receipt is available.
They are also in need of a diesel-powered cube van with a cargo box at least 24 feet long, to house a dental suite (already donated) and offices for a doctor, nurse and portable X-ray facility. They are also looking for a driver (licensed to drive in Mexico) to donate his or her time.
Nicaragua is one of the poorest countries in the Western Hemisphere, and was particularly hard hit by Hurricane Mitch. If you are able to assist, please call James Town at 519-537-2014 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
