Air Canada Cargo migrating to new accounting system


MONTREAL, Que.–Starting this October, Air Canada Cargo  is migrating to a new accounting system that will affect the timing and appearance of invoices.

Changes will be reflected beginning Oct. 1, 2015, and include:

  • IATA format invoices
  • Separate invoices for export and import shipments
  • Invoices delivered by email as PDF attachments

Sample invoices and reports are available for download on the Air Canada Cargo website.

This year alone, Air Canada Cargo has launched a fresh new website with a unique and dedicated e-Booking tool to simplify online bookings and the use of electronic air waybills, as well as a new stand-alone mobile app, the company said.

Air Canada Cargo has also invested in new software for the call center in Toronto for an enhanced caller experience and rolled out a central toll-free Canada-wide telephone number for customer service. The company continues to expand its iLynx and iRamp technology to stations across the network to increase efficiencies in its warehouses.
