Aboriginal company BBE doubles size of Edmonton operations

EDMONTON, Alta.–Full service logistics company BBE is now fully operational in their new Edmonton International Airport facility. The newly constructed warehouse provides BBE with double the floor space, increased cooler and freezer capacity, expanded office space as well as a larger customer service area.

Latest amenities include a twenty-foot, drive-over scale and an electric car charging station, a first at EIA, said a company release.

Located in the heart of Edmonton International Airport’s Cargo Village, BBE sees great benefits for their clients requiring access to bonded space, customs, front and back office services, couriers and air or ground carriers.

“BBE’s new facility is reflective of our commitment to our customers. As a hub for Northern Canadian supply chain and international air cargo, this facility is key to our continued growth, and that of our clients,” said Heather Stewart, President, BBE.

“This superb new facility is a testament to northern Alberta’s economic resilience and the Canadian Arctic’s emerging industries, as well as the strong return-on-investment air carriers are achieving here,” said Myron Keehn, EIA Vice President of Commercial Development.

“It is a fantastic opportunity for us to participate in the continued development of the cargo community at the Edmonton International Airport,” says Carrie Chang, Regional Manager. “This enables additional carriers, new routings and ultimately, contributes to regional growth.”

Activities at the facility include: freight forwarding, supply chain, inventory management, bonded goods, cold chain management, crating and dangerous goods handling. The new address is: 1759 35 Ave East, Edmonton International Airport T9E 0V6
