CHAPEL HILL, NC–A.N. Deringer, Inc. has recently renewed its commitment to the CargoSphere rate technology platform. By extending their business relationship with CargoSphere, Deringer continues their growth trajectory as a strong, responsive logistics provider.
The CargoSphere Web-based Rate Mesh allows Deringer to receive air and ocean rates from agent partners in real-time, creating a systematized rate database. Armed with timely freight rates, in a centralized system, Deringer is able to compare pricing from a range of carriers and quickly respond to customer quote requests. They use CargoSphere’s quoting module for international quotes and recently expanded their usage by adding CargoSphere’s trucking module to quote domestic moves, said the release.
“It’s a blessing to have agent partner rates right at our fingertips. It solves the problem of having to wait 24 hours to get quotes out to customers,” said Matt Parrott, Director of Transportation at Deringer. “We really appreciate the accuracy and timeliness of the CargoSphere Rate Mesh for ocean and air rates. It’s a tool that offers competitive differentiation for our business.”
Deringer’s global freight forwarding business has had three straight years of growth, the company added.
“We’re thrilled to continue our relationship with Deringer, a longstanding customer. As we grow Rate Mesh connections, rate resources grow providing more connection options for our networked community. Automating rate collaboration eliminates the need to manually type in rates and maintain rate sheets. Systematized collaboration throughout the supply chain is how time and cost savings can be achieved and supply chain performance enhanced,” said Neil Barni, president of CargoSphere.
