TNT expands its ‘Express Freight’ service network outside Europe

HOOFDDORP, Neth.–TNT Express has expanded its intercontinental Express Freight service to include 10 additional countries beyond Europe, raising the level of coverage to 80 countries worldwide, said a release.

The expansion includes key business locations, particularly in North America with customers shipping to the Middle East and South America also expected to benefit, said the company.

The Express Freight service offers same-day collection, door-to-door distribution and one- to three-day transits for palletised shipments weighing up to 500 kilogrammes. It provides all the features of the company’s express services, including day and time-definite delivery, customs clearance, full track and trace, and proactive customer updates.

Intercontinental expansion of the company’s freight capabilities is in keeping with its strategy to strengthen its service offering between international markets and Europe, where the company already provides express freight services across 37 countries.

In North America the extended coverage includes New York, Washington, DC, Atlanta, Hartford, Chicago, Philadelphia, Portland, Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa.

“Offering Express Freight to more destinations internationally gives customers additional options, more delivery locations, faster shipping for freight and all the benefits of Express,” said global director Marketing & Strategy, Jan Willem Breen.
