Talks between CP and the City of Vancouver on Arbutus Corridor unsuccessful

VANCOUVER, B.C.–Despite exploring a number of options to reach a fair market settlement, CP and the City of Vancouver were unable to arrive at an agreement on the future of the Arbutus Corridor.

CP halted all work on the corridor when it agreed to meet with the City of Vancouver to negotiate a resolution. However, after meeting with senior City representatives this week, CP said it “remains extremely disappointed that the City of Vancouver continues to significantly undervalue this corridor.”

The Arbutus Corridor remains a valuable asset to the railway and as such CP will resume work to return the corridor to operating standards in the coming days, the company said.
