Hercules expands California direct coverage with new terminal in Fresno

FRESNO, Cal.–Hercules Freight has added a fourth California terminal, located in Fresno, to respond to a growth of shipments from California to Canada as well as Inter and Intra-state.

Set on 3 acres, the 12-door terminal will cover P&D as far north as Madera and as far south as Bakersfield. The Fresno addition is complimented by existing terminals in Los Angeles, Oakland, and Sacramento, California. The expansion increases Hercules’ California’s direct coverage area now spanning from the Mexico border up through to Redding, said a company release. 

Hercules’ California operations services shipments to all Canadian provinces, as well as to US destinations in California, Oregon, Washington, Illinois, Wisconsin, New Jersey, and New York.

Line-haul and P&D equipment was purchased for the California fleet and the operation is led by Regional Manager Danny Sousa, said the release. 

Hercules Freight recently celebrated the opening of its new and larger Toronto Terminal May 1st, holding an Open House to celebrate the completion of renovations at 1100 Arrow Road North York Ontario. 

The event featured valet parking for guests, entertainment and a tour of the operation. On display inside and outside of the building were various new tractors, dollies, and trailers to showcase the newest ‘green’ technology being utilized.

The facility is set on 5.3 acres, with 46 dock doors, a 3 bay repair garage, and employs 40 people. The office area is spacious and very modern with many solid glass walls and design built furniture, the company said.

 The terminal P&D range covers the area from London to Cornwall, Hamilton to Barrie.
