RICHMOND HILL, Ont.– Microdea Inc. announced that Redwood Logistics of Chicago, Illinois has selected Microdea’s Synergize to become their document management and workflow automation system across all four companies in the Redwood family. Integrated with a transportation management system, Synergize was successfully used by Redwood Supply Chain Solutions, and now will be extended to all Redwood Logistics’ companies to consolidate their Accounts Payable invoices, audits and payments onto one platform, said a company release.
Replacing manual processes and legacy systems will deliver cost savings in three areas: reduced license fees, lower costs for outsourced indexing due to better document quality, and most importantly, increased efficiencies in billing allowing Redwood Logistics to get bills out to their clients faster, the company added.

Whether it is our contracts, our PODs, or our claims forms, documents are key to everything we do so it’s really important to have a central platform to access them,” states Andrew Ashbaugh, Chief Technology Officer for Redwood Logistics. “We anticipate that the automation gains we’ll see by using Synergize will really deliver from an ROI standpoint, once we unify on the platform. “
Future plans for the system include adding their Accounts Receivable processes to the existing Accounts Payable automation, as well as using Synergize for managing driver settlements, safety & compliance, and carrier onboarding.
