MISSISSAUGA, Ont.–Purolator said it is currently experiencing a significant increase in shipment volumes resulting from a potential Canada Post labour disruption which could occur by July 2.
Purolator said it is working to ensure optimal service to its customers as it processes the additional volume resulting from the threat of a major strike at Canada Post.
As such, the company is implementing the following service protocols until further notice, it said on its website:
Service guarantees for time-definite and day-definite services have been temporarily suspended.
New account registration processes have been temporarily suspended. Shipments for both account and non-account customers will still be accepted at Purolator Shipping Centres. Non-account customers are asked to pay for their shipments via credit card, debit or cash only.
