DENVER, CO–The Intermodal Transportation Institute (ITI) at the University of Denver recently elected Mark McGowan to its Board of Directors. As an accomplished leader in the transportation industry with a successful career spanning more than 20 years, McGowan will add a well-rounded perspective to the Board with his considerable experience in the field of human resource management, said an ITI release.

McGowan joined CMA CGM (America) LLC in 2008 as Vice President, Human Resources, where he was charged with guiding the company’s strategic human capital initiatives in the United States. Prior to joining CMA CGM, he built his career holding progressively responsible positions in human resources with Lillian Vernon Corporation/Direct Holdings Worldwide, a leading national catalog and online retailer, where he most recently served as Vice President, Human Resources.

He has a Bachelor’s degree in industrial relations and human resources management from LeMoyne College, and holds a certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).

“We are very pleased to have Mark McGowan join the ITI Board,” said Adriene B. Bailey, Vice President, Strategic Business Development for Yusen Logistics (Americas) Inc., and Chair of the ITI Board of Directors. “He will bring tremendous perspective on leadership and organizational development, and will be a great asset to furthering our mission to develop, educate and support the current and future leaders in our industry.”
