L’Oral Canada and Walmart join GS1 Canada Board of Governors

TORONTO, Ont.–GS1 Canada has announced the following appointments to its Board of Governors:

Frank Kollmar, President and CEO L’Oréal Canada: Kollmar began his career with the L’Oréal Group in Canada over 15 years ago. An international businessman, he held various positions around the world prior to his 2011 appointment to president of the Consumer Products Division in Canada. A graduate of Ecole de Management Europeen, Groupe IECS in Strasbourg, France, Mr. Kollmar holds a Masters in Business Administration and Computer Engineering from the University of Karlsruhe, Germany.

Lee Tappenden, Chief Merchandising Officer, Walmart Canada: As Chief Merchandising Officer for Walmart Canada, Tappenden leads a team of buyers and is responsible for driving the company’s general merchandise, food, health and wellness and apparel businesses. Mr. Tappenden joined Walmart Canada as senior vice-president, mercpresident, merchandising operations in 2010. He held multiple senior roles with Walmart Japan, U.S. and Canada before assuming his current position in 2011. Mr. Tappenden is a business graduate from the University of Westminster in the United Kingdom.
