WASHINGTON, D.C.–Experts from the International Transport Forum at the OECD are contributing to the global debate on better transport in various ways at 93rd Transportation Research Board (TRB) Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C., USA, from January 12-16.
ITF Economist Jari Kauppila presents on “Changes in Investment Appraisals: Shifting the Focus to Productivity, Jobs, and Growth” as part of the session on “Transportation Impacts of the Global Economic Crisis”. He will review the OECD Task Force Report on “Valuing Transportation in other Developed Countries” at the session on “Value of Transportation Infrastructure”.
ITF’s Head of Research Stephen Perkins presents an “Overview of Road Safety in 2012 in IRTAD Countries” at the panel on “International Benchmarking on Road Safety”, presided by Fred Wegman, Chairman of IRTAD, 10:15-12:00 on 14 January.
ITF Secretary-General José Viegas and Head of Policy and Summit Preparation Mary Crass will also be participating in TRB Committee and other meetings, said a release.
