VANCOUVER, B.C.--Container truck drivers will hold a rally in downtown Vancouver to protest the BC government's March 19 announcement that it will introduce forced-work legislation.

"Truck drivers, like everyone else, deserve to be able to make a living. That is all this dispute has ever been about," said Paul Johal, President of Unifor-Vancouver Container Truckers' Association (VCTA).

"We simply want to negotiate a deal that will benefit all parties."

Unifor National President Jerry Dias will be participating in the rally, which will involve container truck drivers and their supporters, and will take place at Canada Place in Vancouver at 12:00 pm local time.
