PANAMA CITY, Panama.--The completion date for the locks on the Pacific side of the Panama Canal has been postponed until June 2015, said the Panama Canal Authority.

The previous completion date was April 2015.

The delay was caused by a re-evaluation and modification of the logistics and duration of the locks' electromechanical works, said the Panama Canal Authority.

As for the locks on the Atlantic side of the Canal, they are still scheduled for completion in March 2015.

Originally, the Panama Canal expansion programme was slated for completion in 2014, but was delayed to April 2015, said a release.
