MONTREAL, QC-- Daniel Dagenais, vice-president, operations, at the Montreal Port Authority, was appointed Director of the Board of Directors of the Association québécoise des transports (AQTr), at the Annual General Meeting of its members.

This event took place during the AQTr's 49th Annual Conference, which was held in Quebec City, March 31 to April 2, 2014.

Daniel Dagenais is taking over from Jean-Luc Bédard, who was Vice-President, Operations and Harbour Master, until he retired in January. As a Director of the AQTr, Daniel Dagenais will help define the association's strategic directions. The AQTr is undergoing a major change; the former association of Quebec motor carriers opened its doors to stakeholders in other modes of transportation: rail, air and marine. Daniel Dagenais looks forward to playing his part in promoting the AQTR's new vocation.

AQTr Board members have a one-year term of office, which is renewable.
